hela Sverige As a DevOps Engineer at Svea you will administer and manage multiple SQL Server AlwaysON clusters (SQL Server 2012-2019), which includes patching/upgrades, performance tuning, migrations and other maintenance tasks.
You will analyze SQL Server database performance and recommend performance improvements to developers, analyze system logs and come up with strategies to improve the platform and create and manage projects in Octopus Deploy, Azure DevOps server and create build and release pipelines.
Furthermore you will manage A10 Load Balancers and come up with strategies to improve performance and availability for web applications, and manage and monitor Windows Server and Microsoft IIS sites.
Skills and experience:
For this role we are looking for a problem solver who are used to working independently after planning and decision making. You have at least one, preferably more, certifications for SQL Server 2012+ and at least a bachelor's degree in computer science. In this role we want you to be eager to learn new technologies and take personal responsibility/ownership for technical projects, and we think that strong teamwork, interpersonal skills, integrity, and personal responsibility are some of your strongest characteristics. You have an advanced level of english, both written and spoken.
You have experience and good knowledge in:
SQL Server products (SSIS, SSAS, SSRS)
High Availability solutions, such as Mirroring, Replication, Clustering, & Always On (Availability Groups)
MS SQL Server (versions 2012 to 2019)
Octopus Deploy or similar deployment systems
Azure DevOps Server
Dynatrace APM
Powershell
About the team
You will be working in a team of 6 people, where 3 are located in Serbia and 3 in Sweden.
Each person has a different speciality although we teach each other everything so that we are not dependant on one person, regardless the work. You will also be part of an on-call rotation together with other team members.
