Stefan is looking for someone who shares his pride in a stable, robust, and manageable IT infrastructure. You, who have been around and know the fundamentals of IT Ops and want to help us become even better in delivering XaaS solutions, scalable production environments and reliable core infrastructure.

What you'll do at Nexus
As a DevOps Engineer, System Admin, IT Ops, or SRE (you can name it with many titles), you will take part in the day-to-day, running and maintaining the infrastructure that hosts production- and end-user platforms supporting critical applications.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Design, build, and maintain the core infrastructure used by all Nexus as a service offerings
• Troubleshoot issues across services and levels of the stack.
• Fine-tune monitoring (We use Datadog/OpsGenie).
• Plan for the growth of Nexus infrastructure.
• Ensure that the platforms always run at an up-to-date level.
• Work with customer tickets and act as 3rd line support to our technical support team.
On top of the day-to-day IT Ops work, there will always be other fun stuff to do, and depending on your own desires this could differ. This might include pen-testing, migration/transformation projects for customers, IT management tasks like incidents or changes, TSP management with CA ceremonies, deep-diving into automation etc.
Some of our Tech Stack: Terraform / Terragrunt, Kubernetes / Docker / Containers, Ansible, Azure / Azure DevOps, CentOS / RedHat / Rocky / Linux Datacenter operations, ITIL, Change management, Networking (Cisco) Firewalls (Clavister / Cisco) VMware, HSM (Hardware Security Modules) and more!
About you
• As a person you are a meticulous problem solver, focusing on details to enable robust and stable solutions. You like to work in a team but have no problem driving your own stories and projects.
• You're persistent and if you see a problem you will point it out on every single stand-up until it's taken care of.
• You are adaptable and not afraid of change.
• You work well with other people and relate to them in a responsive and smooth way. You understand the importance of listening, communicating, and resolving issues together in a constructive way.
• You enjoy being innovative, creative and active in your working set-up.
Qualifications
• You have a background and interest in IT Ops and Infrastructures. You think about systems, their edge cases, failure modes and lifecycles.
• You know your way around a CLI.
• You can troubleshoot complex problems across the whole stack.
• You know how to translate the business needs into workable tech/infrastructure by writing IaC.
• You understand the importance of holding yourself and others to a higher bar.
• Because this is a 24/7/365 environment we generally want everyone to take part in the on-call rotation every 6-8 weeks. If this is a big issue for you, let us know and we can discuss it.
