We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic DevOps Engineer ready to take ownership of an exciting migration from private cloud to Azure. As a key player, you will combine your expertise in development and infrastructure to ensure a smooth and successful transition. Your ability to introduce new ideas and innovations will be crucial in shaping the future technical landscape. Collaboration is key, and you will closely work with the software architect, lead developer, and product manager, all based in Uppsala. Additionally, our team members in development are located mainly in Stockholm and Riga.
About the product
Our flagship product, Visma Recruit, stands as a forefront recruitment solution in the Nordic and Dutch markets. It efficiently manages over 3 million job applications annually and provides essential support to over 30,000 monthly internal users, such as recruiters and hiring managers, in their day-to-day operations.
Technology stack we use
• Back-end: C#, .NET, MS SQL
• Front-end: Angular, Typescript, HTML, CSS/LESS, .NET
• Dev.environments: GIT, Octopus Deploy, TeamCity, Visual Studio, Azure DevOps
• Monitoring and visualisation: AppDynamics, Grafana
• Infra: Azure, Terraform, Packer, Windows VMs, IIS
• Other: Jira, Confluence, Slack
We are always open to exploring alternative services/frameworks, and we actively promote and encourage team members to participate in creative thinking.
Responsibilities and work tasks
• Take ownership of the migration to the Public Cloud, Azure
• Configuring delivery pipeline and infrastructure
• Maintaining and continuously improving our existing infrastructure
• Coming up with architectural suggestions
• Monitoring and testing application performance for potential bottlenecks, identifying possible solutions and working with developers to implement those fixes
KvalifikationerWe believe that you
• Have experience and understanding of infrastructure as code
• Have a solution-oriented attitude to the challenges we face
• Have experience with programming and application development and can relate to the needs met in a development team that delivers services to customers
• Are very comfortable with the command line and are not afraid to familiarise yourself with unknown technologies and languages
• Have good verbal and written English skills
