This role is within our Consumer Commercial Digital Products (CCDP) team, which is using digital technologies to reinvent the experience of becoming a Volvo customer. This is a rapidly growing team, and we are looking for outstanding people who will be some of the earliest hires in their function, helping to establish it at Volvo Cars.
Job Description
We are looking for an experienced Ops-engineer who will help lead our journey from our existing legacy DevOps environment to a new, modern DevOps implantation with responsibility for architecture, development and operations is within Volvo Cars. The work is situated in our new offices close to Gothenburg City in Gamlestaden.
Responsibilities
* Help and guideline the build-up of DevOps practices and culture
* Build up the in-house Application Operations and Infrastructure Team
* Manage the Application Operations and Infrastructure Operations Team
* Manages tools supporting infrastructure operation, deployment and monitoring
* Decision maker in the selection of infrastructure components
Skills
* 8+ years' experience cloud automation operations
* Hands-on experience working with Azure or AWS
* Some experience with unit testing and automated testing tools
* Collaborative, team focus
* Extensive experience working with virtualization, IaaS and PaaS cloud
* Infrastructure provisioning tools (e.g. Octopus, Vagrant, Docker)
* Scripting and programming languages (PowerShell, Bash etc.)
* Ability to work closely with software development teams to release production-ready software on a daily basis
* Pipeline and deployment automation experience and tools (e.g. Jenkins, GoCD, Teamcity)
* Experience administering application servers, web servers, and databases (especially Microsoft IIS, Oracle, MySQL, MongoDB, etc.)
* An eagerness to learn enough about whatever tools or tricks are needed to get the job done
