Do you have a strong interest in power semiconductor devices and want to join the silicon carbide revolution? Do you want to work in a globally operating SiC device development team in a large semiconductor company? If so, then you may be the device scientist we are looking for in our SiC development team located in Kista Science City, Stockholm.
Role and responsibilities:
• Device simulation and process simulation of SiC power devices for deriving new improved designs with reduced power losses as well as improved ruggedness and reliability.
• Electrical characterization of SiC devices on wafer level and for packaged devices.
• Analysis of device performance such as on-resistance, breakdown voltage, threshold voltage and ruggedness/reliability by measurements and simulations
• Planning of device development experiments with DOE splits in process steps and design including mask layout when needed
• Analysis of experiments with process and design splits, including electrical characterization, tests and reporting. Some of the characterization is hands on and some of the work is to manage and keep track of test results from other labs within the company.
• Updating and reporting progress in SiC development projects.
Successful candidates for this position will have several of the following:
• Master of Science or PhD in electrical engineering, engineering Physics or similar
• Hands-on experience with TCAD simulations of semiconductor devices
• Previous work in the semiconductor industry or in semiconductor device research
• Experience and skills in electrical characterization
• Very good skills in English, speaking and writing
• Good knowledge in semiconductor device physics and knowledge in process technology
• Team orientation with emphasis on communication and social skills
• Ability to work independently with sustained focus over time
