Since early 2000 we have supported our clients on a vast number of projects, all over the world. Our consultant pool consists of Swedish and non Swedish consultants within the fields of embedded systems telecom, online solutions and application development. Now we are looking for new candidates to come work with us as consultants, on-site in Sweden.
Main tasks
We are looking for an experienced Device Driver S/W Developer with focus on Connectivity, to work with our high profile telecom client in Sweden. You will mainly be working with Connectivity, such as Bluetooth, WLAN, FM radio, WiFi, NFC. Development is mainly done in the lower layers. The main task is to design, develop and maintain device drivers for the projects; the work might include the whole development cycle.
Requested competence (please make sure this is documented in your CV)
• ) Master of Science in computer science, electrical engineering or equivalent with a relevant work experience.
• ) Experience of writing device drivers and low level software.
• ) An interest and a true understanding of hardware and the specific requirements that hardware puts on software.
• ) Have a true understanding of the requirement that software on the upper layer requires.
• ) Experience of working with real time embedded system that possesses time critical parts
• ) Strong knowledge in C
• ) Strong knowledge in Linux kernel
• ) Strong knowledge in one or more of the following areas: WLAN / Bluetooth / WiFi / NFC
• ) Experience of assembler under ARM
• ) Be able to drive an assignment by yourself
• ) Team oriented work approach
• ) Good English
Differentiators (please mention if applicable)
• ) Professional level in Java and/or C++
• ) Android Middleware experience
• ) Experience from Embedded Linux
• ) Active contribution to Open Source community is preferable
Start: August/September, 2013.
Duration: 12-24 months on site in Sweden, with a high probability for extension.
Extent: Full-time, 40h/week. Paid overtime can be requested by the customer.
Compensation: Negotiable. We offer a competitive salary, primarily in the form of a longterm employment and according to Swedish standards; governmental pension plan, five weeks paid vacation, iPad/laptop, mobile phone with data plan subscription, priority medical care insurance, health care insurance, income level insurance, work liability insurance, language course support, sports activity contribution. Paid transfer to Sweden including registered partner and children. When applicable, family members will get permit to live and work in Sweden.
For Schengen-citizens, there is also an option to undertake the assignment as a subcontractor to Telescope.
