Development Engineer - Analysis Electrical Accessories
At RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT you will be a key contributor to the next generation outstanding luxury cars from Volvo. Together with other engineers over the world, you and your team will create innovative human-centric car technology that makes life less complicated and more enjoyable for people. As DEVELOPMENT ENGINEER - ANALYSIS ELECTRICAL ACCESSORIES within the group Electrical Accessories you will be responsible for analysis and verification within your area. You will also be an important part of the whole test team. The team shares the responsibility for all the accessory range within electrical, electronics and Infotainment areas which means you will have the chance to work with our entire product range. The work involves frequent contact with all development roles like functional, system and component design engineers as well as our task leaders, suppliers and other parts of R&D.
Accessories Department in the unit Electrical and Electronics System Engineering is responsible for development of Volvo Cars' total Accessory Range. We are more than 70 qualified and dedicated employees who represent a cross section of R&D capabilities. Together with our product planners in the Accessory Business Unit at Volvo Cars Customer Service, we deliver a significant contribution to Volvo Cars' business.

Job profile:
• Take active part in shaping our future test strategy
• Define and plan and carry out testing activities in accordance with the agreed strategy
• Develop and implement a balance of test automation and increase test efficiency
• Prepare and implement the agreed test activities and report the results
• Participate in our reviews of requirement documents for function, system and component levels
Your profile:
• University degree within electrical/electronics
• Documented experience from test and verification of complex embedded systems
• Good knowledge of English, spoken and written
• Strong communication skills and able to interact with others
• Driving licence
• Knowledge and experience from CANalyser/CANoe and script development
• Interest in the Infotainment/Connectivity area is beneficial
• Experience of MATLAB/Simulink is and advantage as well as experience from the automotive industry
