WHAT YOU WILL DO
At H&M Group, we have a vision to liberate fashion for the many. To support this, we continuously evolve how our people learn, grow and perform in a fastchanging environment. As Development Tool Specialist, you will help build the next foundation for how technology supports development.
This is not a traditional platform management role. You will work at the intersection of development, technology and experimentation, combining technical capability with curiosity for people, behaviour and learning. You will help shape an emerging area by using code, data, AI and experimentation to improve how development is delivered and experienced.
You will:
Design and build automations, integrations and lightweight internal tools that improve development workflows and user experience
Use code, APIs, data and AI tools to solve practical problems for learners, leaders and teams
Prototype, test and iterate on new ideas, turning opportunities into practical solutions that can be improved over time
Support and evolve the development ecosystem, including LMS, LXP, content tools and analytics solutions
Improve integration and data flow between major platforms to reduce manual work and strengthen decision making
Pilot AI-based solutions for content creation, learner support, feedback, insights and personalisation
Use data and tools such as Power BI to explore patterns, measure results and turn insights into action
Support experimentation that helps us understand what drives engagement, learning and behaviour change
Contribute to clearer ownership, structure and ways of working across the development tool ecosystem
WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH
You will collaborate closely with colleagues across Development and Transitions, Development Experience, Digital and other People and HR functions. You will also work with external vendors and partners when needed. This role sits in a space where people, technology and behaviour meet, and you will help connect those perspectives in a practical and meaningful way.
WHO YOU ARE
You enjoy building, exploring and solving problems in practical ways. You have a technical background and are comfortable using code, data and modern tools to create solutions. At the same time, you are curious about people, learning and behaviour, and motivated by using technology to improve how things actually work.
You:
Have experience building end-to-end solutions using code, scripting, APIs, integrations and data
Are technically strong enough to understand how systems, logic and data fit together, without needing to be a highly specialised software engineer
Already use AI and LLM-based tools to prototype faster, explore ideas, analyse data and improve solutions
Have experience from software development, internal tools, automation, product, learning technology or a similar space
Are curious about behavioural science, psychology or experimentation and how technology can support behaviour change at scale
Are comfortable with ambiguity and open problem spaces and enjoy shaping direction where scope is still emerging
Are collaborative and able to move between technical detail and broader business and development needs
Have experience from large or complex organisations and working closely with Digital or IT functions, which is an advantage
