In alignment with the growing targets and needs, we are currently on the lookout for a Development Manager, to become a valued member of our IT Development Department in Gothenburg.
The overall goal for the Development Manager is to create high performance, productive and healthy teams by driving continuous improvements. You will be overall responsible for a number of teams and to assist you in your role you have team leaders and management colleagues.
You will support, coach and lead development teams in respect to agile principles, and ensure that the team's mission, goals, scope and product domain are understood by everyone.
Ensure that teams have a defined and efficient way of working in regards to planning, work and tooling.
Inspire and help the teams towards self-management to acquire new knowledge and to constantly improve.
Belong to a small, tight management group pursuing many topics with the overall goal to uphold Etraveli Technology as a great place to work.
You are genuinely interested in people, leading teams and helping others to succeed while at the same time taking overall responsibility for delivery from IT. The way we see it, the product owner is responsible for the team building the right things, the team lead is responsible for the team doing things right, and the development manager is responsible for things being done efficiently in the short and long run.
You are good at and like to facilitate meetings, drive learning through workshops, manage and lead individuals and teams in their careers and developments - be a part of something great. You will be an important part of Etraveli Technology's continued success and work closely with our other managers and coaches.
The way we work
We strive to work in small self-governing teams, with frequent releases. We adapt our working methods as needed and constantly work towards improving ourselves. Common to all is that we work with a test-driven mindset and that we have a vision around Continuous Delivery. We regularly have innovative activities where the teams get to work with both self-driven projects but also things like Hackatons and conferences. We also apply unplanned weeks for team-wide work on tools and technical improvements.
Our tech stack is Java, MySQL, React, Typescript and others. The development environment is in IntelliJ and case management takes place in Jira. We use Atlassian's entire product portfolio and have Git as a repo manager.
Requirements
Academic degree within IT Development
Solid understanding of agile methods
Documented leadership experience with focus on building collaborative teams and results
Experience of executing, coordinating, planning and following up activities that span across multiple teams and departments.
Strong drive for personal and professional development
Excellent communications skills in Swedish as well as English.
