Development Unit (DU) Core and IMS is an R&D organization within Business Unit Networks that secures the development of leading-edge core network products (Mobile, Wireline, IMS, User Management), as well as securing technology and architecture evolution of existing network solutions.
DU Core & IMS is providing our customer Circuit Switched and IP Multimedia networks solutions that promote our customers' business growth by enabling them to offer superior services at competitive cost. We develop Core products and solutions.
The Common Environment, CE department is responsible to design, co-ordinate and drive common development environment for Product development unit Converged Core.
Product development unit CC develops IMS, BCS, VisualCom, Ericsson In Game and in web communication products. The main governance is in Stockholm and with operations in Sweden, Canada, China and Hungary.
PDU CC have streamlined the organisation to produce new features in short delivery cycles. CE task is to manage development environment frameworks and services for all feature development and release verification teams.
Now we need some more skilled engineers to drive, coordinate and support nodes development environment including design and all test stages.Example on nodes are MTAS,SBG and CSCF.
As an development environment coordinator your responsibilities are:
• Drive and co-ordinate environment for an area
• Support and trouble shooting
• Act as environment coordinator for a node towards ITTE/FDCs/RM
• Forecasting and dimensioning
• Improvements and standardization
• Design and maintenance of HW/Network/Architecture/Environment specifications
• High degree of utilisation and efficiency within environment
Qualifications
• Good knowledge of datacom networks and network design
• Some years experience of development or I&V
• Team leader or project management skills
• Service minded, the ability to work as coordinator for several teams
• Experience/competence in IMS, Linux, NSP/IS/EBS, STP/OTP/CBA is wishful
• Script programming is wishful
• Fluent in English spoken and written
