hela Sverige We are now looking for an experienced and qualified engineer in the areas of mechanics and noise & vibration to Surface Drilling Equipment Division.
Our division has a world leading position among surface drill rigs. Our competiveness is built on quality and performance in several segments. This means that we have sophisticated machines with advanced systems in various technology areas such as diesel engines, compressor system, advanced mechanisms, CAN bus control systems etc. The competition within our segment of products is high and demands continuous development and improvements in order to stay ahead of our competitors.
As a development engineer in the areas of mechanics and noise & vibration you will find a challenging job close to our products and applications with great possibilities to make a difference. You will be a part of a Technical Department and work with product development of our drill rigs, a work that will include every phase from idea to a final product.
You will be in an important role within the mechanical design group where your operational work will be concept development and realisation, analyze and calculations regarding noise & vibration as well as strength, 3D CAD design and modelling, drawings and products specifications, contacts and cooperation?s both internally and externally etc.
Another role included in this position is to be the responsible person for the area noise and vibration within the global development organization. Our products are exposed for various influences concerning vibration and noise. There is a high demand to monitor and reduce all undesirable consequences of these and with a theoretical basis propose concrete and practical solutions to eliminated / reduced noise and vibration by passive and / or active measures.
It is important that you have the curiosity and new thinking to solve these problems. You will also be responsible for our ?Lead Design Center? for noise and vibration with focus to develop design criteria for our rigs.
To be a successful development engineer at Atlas Copco you must find it interesting to work in team, both in Örebro and together with our colleagues abroad.
Experience
To be successful in this position we believe that you need at least 3-4 years of experience within mechanical design including analytical ability and knowledge of noise & vibration and strength analyse etc. Knowledge from products for mobile applications in demanding environments is meriting.
Knowledge
You should be a skilled engineer that has knowledge in general machine design, noise & vibration as well as FE-analyses. You also need to be good in English since this is the language for reports and communications. You also need to be able to write clear and objective reports and be able to communicate and socialize with your colleagues. Knowledge in 3D-modelling, ADAMS and project management is merit.
Education
You should have a documented academic background with an appropriate orientation like noise and vibration, resistance of materials, product development or similar or other highly qualified engineering background.
