Are you looking for a design role in a creative environment working close together with both testing and simulation?
The role is in a design group developing the next generation of exhaust aftertreatment systems. We are in a challenging and critical stage where our new platform will soon be ready for serial production. At the same time the last deviations needs to be closed and new variants and adaptions are created. The technology is complex and the product is developed both for Scania trucks as well as for our worldwide colleagues within the Traton group.
The position is based at Scania Technical Centre in Södertälje in a group that today consists of with 7 designers and 2 object managers. The group is characterized by high competence, team spirit and the mindset of solving problems together as a team.
As a design engineer you will design and improve our products and have a good communication and cooperation with your interfacing functions, both internal and external. You will take part in cross-functional teams with the goal to optimise the aftertreatment system with regards to all product properties such as performance requirements, acoustic, weight and cost. You will work close to simulation and test engineers and together perform development iterations as well as plan the testing and validation of your product.
Is this you?
• You have a B.Sc./M.Sc. in mechanical design, material technology, structural mechanics or equivalent
• You have a couple of years relevant working experience, preferably within product development
• You have experience of working in Catia
• You know English in both speech and in writing, Swedish is not a requirement but an advantage
• You are creative, analytic and responsible and you are a supportive and open-minded team member who love working towards common goals
