NXPS - Fluid Dynamics and Acoustic Simulation group are currently for a junior engineer to join our team CFD-team at Scania. We are looking for a simulation engineer within the field of fluid mechanics at Scania in Södertälje, Sweden. The group strives to provide full understanding of internal flow for exhaust after treatment, air intake and HVAC-systems. The combined expertise and cross-functional work in two different disciplines is used to continuously improve the Scania products. Work is conducted in close cooperation with our internal customers within the R&D organization.
Your assignments
As a CFD engineer, you will be a member of the Internal Flow team solving complex systems and suggest solutions. Your task includes planning and conducting a complete CFD workflow, from initial discussions with the customer to results presentation. You will work with various design group of Scania and will get a thorough understanding of the products.
Your profile
We believe you have a master degree in the area of mechanical engineering or physics. You have knowledge in internal flow simulations and solving complex flow problems. Skills in pre-processing tools (ANSA) and solid experience in CFD solver STAR-CCM+ or AVL FIRE is preferred. We require that you have a very good knowledge in Linux OS. You are an analytic and well organized team-player driven by quality awareness. Skills in communication, ability to present a complex issue and result in an educational way are some of your strengths. Experience of and interest in vehicle technology is an advantage.
We will emphasize on the following parts in your profile.
• Very good communication skills with a customer focus (our customers are both internal and external).
• Ambitious with internal drive and ability to take decisions.
• Interest in both our daily product development using simulations as well as in method development.
