Scania is now undergoing a transformation from being a supplier of trucks, buses and engines to a supplier of complete and sustainable transport solutions.

This position is for individuals interesting in getting a complete picture of electrification on buses while working within new technology projects. The automotive industry is moving towards more electrification as well as assistant systems for drivers and passengers. Due to this market trend the Cable Harness Design team is now expanding.

What you'll do

The team is responsible for cable harness design on buses. That responsibility begins with the making of circuit diagrams and spans to the creation of purchasable parts (cable harnesses) that fulfills function and assembly/de-assembly requirements in production and at aftermarket.

The role requires you to be meticulous and analytical. Being able to easily make contact and build networks with both system and component owners is a success factor for the individuals that work within the role today.

You will be responsible for a number of systems from a cable harness perspective. When assuming this responsibility you will become a key point of contact for cross functional teams and groups for knowledge about how the systems have been or will be implemented on the bus.

Do you fit the profile?

If you like working in a social and positive work environment, you will fit into our team. Work is conducted with individual deliveries that add up to the complete group delivery. It is therefore important that you feel a strong responsibility for your deliveries but aren't afraid of chipping in to secure that the group deliver as a team. You are curious and always strive to learn more and develop. You master English both in written and verbal form. You have a bachelor's or master's degree (mechanical design, product development or electro) or similar work experience.
