Line Engineering, within Carton Bottle & Gable Top and Tetra Recart, is a dedicated team responsible for the design of all our filling machines systems. Our machines operate all over the world with diverse and challenging demands on our equipment. To meet these demands our development teams must find simple, robust and elegant solutions to intricate problems.
In the role as Development Engineer at this senior level you will have the opportunity to work with early technology development, product development as well as product life cycle activities. In this position this shall be combined with deep interest and knowledge of virtual engineering tools relevant for mechanical designs.
We focus more and more on Virtual engineering methods to increase quality and to shorten development times.
Main responsibilities
• Drive and push creation and use of virtual engineering tools in product development, for instance building forming models in software's like Abaqus.
• Drive expansion of usage of virtual tools to other engineers by facilitating trainings and contribute with your expertise to guide.
• Refine requirements and root causes into tangible engineering attributes
• Develop robust machine functions from idea to validation.
• Actively pursue studies and know-how of new technologies and components
Qualifications
You are a person with strong analytical skills and a genuine technical interest. You combine creativity, drive and focus with a passion to spread the use of VE tools. Customer focus is a top priority for you. Your will to contribute and deliver is strong and you always put the success of your team first. You manage contacts with other competences with ease, within as well as outside the company. You also possess leadership competence, with the ambition and ability to lead a team of designers.
You have a University degree in Mechanical Engineering and at least 5 years documented experience from mechanical engineering in machine design including advanced usage of Virtual Engineering tools. You have very good knowledge in Creo and virtual engineering tools such as Simulate, Mechanism and Abaqus. To be successful in the role you will need a good command of English and Swedish, both spoken and written.
