hela Sverige Are you our new Development Engineer at video systems? This is an interesting role where you push development and where you will have a lot of opportunities for personal growth. Ports is a business unit within Industrial Automation in Västerås that works with movement control and information systems for container and industrial cranes and ship unloaders and to optimize the transport of containers and steel products to create rapid and cost effective goods handing.
In a modern container terminal there are remotely, via video, controlled Ship-To-Shore cranes, which handle the loading/off-loading of the container ships. These are in the storage yard supported by stacking cranes, robotized cranes weighing hundreds of tons, which automatically move and with high precision stack the containers. The operation of all the cranes is controlled from a central control room in order to optimize the productivity of the terminal.
Tasks:
• Working with videosystems/cameras and network
• Site visits - Comissioning
• Test hardware
• Troubleshooting and support in projects
• Find solutions and limits within your part of the project
Requirements:
You hold a technical degree and you have at least 3 years of working experience. We think you have knowledge of high-definition and high-resolution video equipment. It's meritorious if you know how a network is built up and/or if you have been working with C++. You need to be proficient in English, written and spoken alike.
As a person you have a customer focus and deliver timely and in an efficient manner.
