hela Sverige Drive Line Systems at Volvo CE are responsible for transmissions, brakes and wheel axles for Volvo CE. This responsibility covers the mechanics as well as the control of the driveline. We are now looking for a:
Development Engineer Tribology
Core Responsibilities:
You will work as a development engineer within the area of friction systems such as wet clutches and lubrication for driveline components, covering the whole product range for Volvo CE.
Your responsibilities will include calculations, system design, system requirements and specifications.
You will be working with the entire design process and the whole life cycle of a product ? from advanced engineering and early project phases, to industrialisation of new products and product maintenance.
The work is conducted in close cooperation with other departments and development projects.
An important area is also to give technical support to the global purchasing organisation in contact with our suppliers.
Minimum Years of Experience Required and Minimum Education Required:
You have a master?s degree (or equivalent) in mechanical engineering or related field
Open positive attitude, target oriented, flexible and ability to work independently
You should be able to handle multiple tasks in a structured manner
Experience of tribology, and wet clutches in particular is desirable
Experience from heavy duty and/or automotive applications is beneficial
Strong verbal and written communication skills in English and Swedish are required
