hela Sverige Scania is now undergoing a transformation from being a supplier of trucks, buses and engines to a supplier of complete and sustainable transport solutions.
Customized solutions for trucks is an important and growing area where Scania aims to fulfil specific customer demands and to enter new segments and markets.
The section RSM is responsible for the development of customized trucks in areas from alternative fuels and electrification to specialized applications such as mining, heavy haulage and fire trucks. Everything we do starts with a direct customer request.
At RSM we strive for a work environment where we help and trust each other and all skills and experiences are utilized in the best way possible. Now you have the opportunity to join one of the most caring groups at Scania - RSMG.
About the position
As an S-order designer you are not developing a part of the truck, you are building the whole truck to fulfil a certain customer demand. You are using the Scania structure and the modular system in creative ways to fulfil the demands. If needed you will design and introduce completely new parts.
Our group RSMG specializes in trucks that have compressed or liquified gas as fuel. Our team handles everything from requests of new products from different markets to development of these products. We take responsibility from idea to the actual truck leaving the gates at Scania.
The group works as a tight team with a very open climate and share experiences openly and support each other.
The work includes cooperation with people from all over Scania, such as production, purchasing, marketing, distributors, aftermarket and other departments within R&D - hence you will develop a broad network within Scania. You will be part of the gas community.
Your Profile
You are positive, eager to learn and like to work with varying tasks. You are good at creating team spirit and have the ability to share experiences and information with your colleagues in a generous way. You will have to perform tasks on your own and in a team setup with a high pace which demands initiative, communication and cooperation skills.
You are a graduate engineer (or similar) and have experience of development. You are interested in the complete solution rather than the details. Knowledge about Scania's products and modular system is highly meriting. Work experience from similar positions and tools such as OAS and Catia is also meriting.
You are fluent in English, both written and spoken.
For more information you are welcome to contact Lina Orbéus, Head of Gas - Customized Truck Development (RSMG),
lina.orbeus@scania.comYour application should contain CV, personal letter and a copy of your degree. We will review the applications continuously.
