Would you like to enter a high-performing team where quality and customer focus puts the agenda? Then you might be our next colleague to the UV Solutions Team in Malmö.
The Solutions Teams within Wood Coatings are responsible for production support, incremental development, modification and optimization of paint and lacquer for the wood industry, and this is done in close cooperation with Marketing, Sales, Technical Service and our customers. Focus for this role is on "100%-UV" and the UV Solution team in Malmö is the AkzoNobel Center of Excellence for this technology in Europe
Responsibilities
The role involves discussing project needs, setting up, planning and executing experiments, analysis and formulations work. You will be part of and lead small or medium sized projects. An important part of the work will be to identify product and process optimization and product application opportunities for our customers. You will support customers and Akzo Nobel Technical representatives with problem solving and give input in decisions. The role includes travelling and you will spend some of your time visiting customers throughout Europe.
The daily work is taking place in both the laboratory and in the Technical Application Center where full scale application machinery is used to simulate customer processes.
We work according to lab standard 14 (inlc. ISO 9001, 14001) and according to 5S standard.

To be successful in this position you should have an educational background within chemistry and at least 5-7 years of work experience within the field of coatings and application of solid wood, flat line and/or flooring, preferable with UV curing technologies.
As a person you should have a high focus on quality and be used to work with deadlines. You are highly customer focused, able to work independently and enjoy environments which can be hectic and pressured. You are a good communicator, verbal as written in both the Swedish and English language. You have a strong ability to cooperate within teams and willing to share your knowledge and experience with others. You are used to work in an international environment, adaptable to cultural changes.
