Carton Economy is responsible for Development and Engineering of a product portfolio, with the strategic intention of enabling Tetra Pak to build a new costumer and consumer base in the developing and emerging markets with low purchasing power. The product portfolio needs to meet the value chain demands on products produced in simple and robust packaging lines with a low cost profile targeted to reach mass markets.
The Package Specification & Design group within Carton Economy is looking for a Development Engineer. The group consists of 8 professionals based in Lund serving the Carton Economy platform and its customers. As current projects are for developing markets such as China, Vietnam, Russia and Peru, some travel is part of our work.
Your main responsibilities will be:
• To support strategic as well as product development and product life cycle projects with full package concepts for primary, multipack, secondary, tertiary and merchandising concepts with a well judged balance between market needs, technical feasibility, cost impact and environmental profile.
• To develop and drive packaging and distribution knowledge within the organization
• To lead and further develop the competence network within secondary packaging and distribution solutions across the whole Development & Engineering organization with representatives from Carton Economy, Carton Value, Carton Gable top, Carton Bottle, Packaging Technology, Strategy & Planning and Tetra Recart organizations.

You have an academic degree within engineering and a documented experience in package design, packaging logistics, merchandising solutions or material development.
