Development Engineer, Safety Electronics
At RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT you will be a key contributor to the next generation outstanding luxury cars from Volvo. Together with other engineers over the world, you and your team will create innovative human-centric car technology that makes life less complicated and more enjoyable for people. As DEVELOPMENT ENGINEER, SAFETY ELECTRONICS within the group Active Safety Electronics you will work with the development of sensors and systems and realise feature functions such as collision warning, emergency brake, parking aid and other support functions. Your main responsibilities are to test and verify the system and components. Testing is performed mainly in Sweden but also in Europe and US due to different climate and environment. As you work in close cooperation with other teams and suppliers in Gothenburg and internationally, it's important that you have well developed social skills and openness to other cultures.
Job profile:
• Review requirements and develop test cases on sensors and systems within active safety
• Perform tests on sensors and systems within your area, both in Gothenburg and abroad, and analyse the results
• Plan and report the progress and deviations
Your profile:
• Holistic view with well developed organisational skills
• High integrity and great communication skills
• Motivated and dedicated
• Team player
• Ability to write documents like test specifications and test reports
• University degree (e.g Electronics/IT/System and control) or equivalent working experience
• Great knowledge in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)
• Good knowledge of English (spoken and written)
• Experience in design or verification of embedded systems
• Experience from MATLAB/Simulink, CANoe and C-programming is meritious
• Drivers license (car)
