Customized solutions for trucks are an important and growing area where Scania aims to fulfill specific customer demands and enter new segments and markets. We at RSM are responsible for the development of customized trucks in a great number of areas: from alternative fuels and electrification to specialized applications such as mining, heavy haulage, and fire trucks. Everything we do starts with a direct customer request.
GAS AT SCANIA
Gas trucks have become popular due to high engine efficiency and performance, widespread infrastructure, and low total cost of ownership. Both CxG and LxG trucks are fully compatible with any amount of biomethane (biogas), resulting in great potential for environmental benefits. Gas trucks are, therefore, an important cornerstone in Scania's adherence to Science-Based Targets.
The gas community at Scania includes colleagues from, for example, Design, Sales and Marketing, Production, Purchasing, Service Information, and Certification. We, together, have delivered around 4000 customized gas trucks in the last 2 years.
WHO ARE WE
Our group, RSMG, is specialized in the design of customized gas trucks, both CxG and LxG, on a complete truck level. We handle product requests directly from the markets, maintain the current product portfolio over time and develop new products for our customers.
Therefore, the extent of the tasks you could handle can vary from common adaptations - of which you can process several per day - to more complex solutions that could require a big project. This wide scope and varying complexity create endless possibilities for you to develop your competence and grow.

We have a hybrid approach and we are flexible when it comes to remote work. It is up to us as a team to decide where to work each day of the week: at home or the office. Our main office is located in the center of Södertälje, next to Tom Tits and KTH. It is a newly renovated activity-based office that you can easily reach by car, pendeltåg, or buses 747 and 749 (if traveling from Stockholm). We also have the option to work in Central and South Stockholm.
WHO ARE YOU
We are primarily looking for a driven and proactive person, someone who takes initiative, loves to work in a team, and drives the team forward. We also think you:
• Are a graduate engineer and have experience in R&D
• Have knowledge about Scania products, the modular system, and Catia V5; knowledge to set terms and conditions for vehicles in our structural system is highly meriting
• Like to work with varying tasks that may shift quickly and dare to take risks in a structured way
• Are a positive and enthusiastic person, good at creating team spirit and fostering knowledge sharing
• Are interested in seeing the broader picture and, when needed, digging into the details
• Master English; Swedish skills are not needed
