you, who like to work globally, create and develop new and existing processes targeting new products to meet environmental, safety, quality and cost requirements. At Höganäs the processes are focused on, but not limited to, reduction of metal compounds and annealing of metal powders.
As a Development Engineer, you work with maintenance and development of unique competences in line with company goals. You are to participate, lead and manage projects/activities globally sometimes together with external partners.
We are looking for you
holding a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering, Chemistry or Process Design or similar. It is preferred that you have work experience from process industry, powder metallurgy, heat treatment equipment, combustion, heat transfer, thermodynamics or metallurgy, but this could also be an interesting opportunity for a newly graduated.
Cooperation on an international level with colleagues, suppliers of equipment and raw material, producers of similar products, universities and institutes requires you having excellent English skills in speech and writing. Good ability to collaborate and being creative are other important personal skills.
Development of processes involves activities from calculation, planning, implementation and evaluation of experiments to documentation of activities. If you find it easy and inspiring to, in a structured way, work from vision to goal, this job can develop your full potential.
About the position
The position is located at Höganäs AB in Höganäs, Sweden. Global Technology, the department where you will be based, brings together our core competences in process and equipment. The department supports the various facilities, around the world, from pre-study to project implementation or production start-up.
Your job includes working with product development and transition of products and processes, from development to full implementation in the production.
Your main-focus will be reduction of fossil carbon dioxide emission from the sponge plant. Some of your other tasks will be to initiate, lead, manage and participate in projects globally and with external partners. You secure and communicate knowledge and competence in reports, best practice groups and initiate, lead and drive development of unique, cost effective, safe, sustainable processes for new and existing products.

Traveling is to some extent required - about 20 days/year. This is a temporary position due to maternity leave. Start date as soon as possible and end date 31 March, 2020.
The headquarters, where you will be located, is located in beautiful Kullabygden and is next to both the sea and the Kullaberg nature reserve, which gives you the opportunity of having an active free time. Larger cities like Copenhagen, Malmö and Helsingborg, with all that they can offer, are only a short bus or train ride away.
