The Packaging Material organisation is responsible to develop, maintain and implement world class packaging material, enabling Tetra Pak to deliver competitive packaging solutions.
By competitive, we mean high quality, cost effective and differentiated packaging materials to Tetra Pak customers. These requirements are pushing the limits of productivity of our factories producing our packaging material, which have to cope with increasingly complex production.
The Factory Simulation group holds the key to making faster and more objective decision s, even when there is much uncertainty; we do this by analysing outcomes of production scenarios based on functional models of our equipments workflows and operations. We do this for both existing factory layouts and those under development.
We are now looking for a new colleague for the team. You will work closely with colleagues both in our development organisations, driving the development of factory models, discussing production scenarios and reaching conclusions on productivity predictions that will be central to success in our projects.
The position is based in Lund and will require 20-30 days of travelling per year.
Main responsibilities
• Understanding the availability and detail accuracy of production data needed for the model development supporting the production scenarios under investigation;
• Development & management of a database to be used and maintained to perform Discrete Event Simulations (DES).
• Owner of the development needs for the database
• Leading of simulation tasks in projects, within deadlines and stakeholder management.
Qualifications
We are looking for a true team player with high curiosity and interest in complex systems. You have an analytical mindset, and you enjoy working with modelling to explain & understand complex production logistics. You have a clear communication style and understand the importance of sharing information. You are fluent in English, both written and spoken.
You have a minimum 3 years of working experience in manufacturing industry (preferably with complex production logistics) & you have working experience with data manipulation in Excel and MS SQL Server (preferred experience with MS Visual Studio and MS SSIS), and several Business Intelligence tools.
Knowledge in C++ programming and in SAP, including but not limited, to SAP Business Objects/Warehouse is considered as an advantage.
