The thermal management system has a central role in electrified vehicles, making this a highly prioritized area with many exciting challenges ahead. With the increased complexity of the system compared to conventional trucks, our organization is growing and we are looking for experienced design engineers to join us on this journey.
The Team
We are divided into sub-teams with different responsibility areas. You will belong to one of the hardware design teams.
The teams consist of design engineers with a wide range of experience and backgrounds as well as a project manager who supports the team with the planning and management of project risks. Our team is working closely together, enabling support between individuals in the daily work and continuous balancing within the team depending on expertise and workload. We strive for an open, easy-going climate where everyone feels safe and has fun at work since we are convinced this is the best way to get the most out of our ambitious and skilled team members.
Your assignment
As a design engineer, you will work with a large variety of tasks to take your parts from idea to final product. The daily work contains everything from 3D modelling to coordinating with cross-functions to ensure the function, producibility, and quality of your parts. Our more experienced engineers also get to take on additional responsibilities such as product ownership for a complete subsystem, concept development, layout studies, or cross-functional problem-solving.
Your particular assignments will be decided together with your manager and team leader depending on your previous experience. Regardless of which level you start at, we will prioritize and encourage your development to take on more responsibilities in the future.
Your profile
Personal characteristics we value are good communication skills, lots of energy, and a can-do mentality. We believe that you are comfortable and appreciate working with others at the same time as you can structure and drive your work forward and take initiative when you see the need.
• You have a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Vehicle Engineering, or similar.
• Work experience from Scania's development process is considered a very strong merit. Examples of expertise areas we are looking for are:
• Sheet metal
• Routing of pipes and hoses
• Castings
• Professional fluency in English is a requirement, and Swedish is meriting.
