You now have the opportunity to become the member of a team working with developing and integrating electronics for Scania's future powertrains. You will be part of a team consisting of 9 people, where each person is responsible for a specific technical field of expertise or for specific electrical components. Even though everyone has their own specific responsibilities, there is great motivation in the group to cooperate, in order to develop a world-class product together. If there is a technical field in which you lack knowledge, support is readily available, since the competence that is usually needed is already available within the group or the company.

About us

As a development engineer at our group, you will be mainly working with developing ECUs, sensors and other electrical components for our internal combustion engines, as well as for our battery management systems for BEV vehicles. Our electrical components are being delivered exclusively by our sub-suppliers and are based on a well-balanced requirement specification that the component owner is responsible for.

Your role

The main focus areas of the job are mainly electronics and electromechanics, as well as system integration and system-level functionality. In order to succeed in the role, you need to be able to organize and perform your work on your own, while also being able to work cross-functionally. You also need to:

• Be responsible for answering technical questions regarding the components that you own.
• Actively participate in discussions regarding interfaces and properties.
• Measure and verify the properties of the components that you own.
• Have technical coordination internally between purchasing, R&D, production and aftermarket.
• Have technical contact towards sub-suppliers with Teams/Skype meetings, combined with some face-to-face meetings and visits to our suppliers.
• Plan and coordinate the deliveries internally within Scania and also towards other customers within Traton.

Your Profile

You have a Bachelor's or Master's degree in electrical, electromechanical or systems engineering (or similar) with interest in technology and product development. As a person you are organised and a responsible problem solver who takes pride in delivering with good quality. You are curious, able to take initiative, and not afraid to make your own decisions. Good willingness to cooperate, the ability to set your own milestones, as well as being able to deliver on your own are a requirement. Being pedagogical is also a trait that we think is very positive.

Work experience within electronics, electromechanics or sensor development, as well as experience in working with sub-suppliers in a similar industry are a merit.

You are fluent in both spoken and written English. Knowledge of the Swedish language is a merit.

We Offer

As an employee at Scania, in addition to the career and development opportunities, we also offer you other benefits such as a result bonus, occupational pension, flexible working hours and much more. If you live in Stockholm we also offer a shuttle bus between Stockholm centre, Liljeholmen and Scania.

Together with your application we need a CV, personal letter and university grades.
