At the section ECF - Autonomous systems, we are developing onboard technology and software for all levels of autonomous functions. Our vision is to bring the best autonomous vehicles to our customers. We are developing driverless vehicles with the latest technology and we are giving our premium customers the advanced driver assistant systems the market requires today.
ECF is an organization in continues development, working in agile teams to take on the complexity of the future. We need to expand and strengthen with more sharp software developers ready to take on the challenge.
Work tasks
As a development engineer at Autonomous vehicle control,ECFS, you will be working in teams with inspiring and engaged colleagues. You will be responsible for algorithms, code implementation and software modules for user functionality like Lane Keep Assist, Vulnerable road user detection, Platooning and Autopilot for highways.
In our group we have several roles;
Product owner - an agile role responsible for a defined products,
Function owner - responsible for a distributed user function and function developer - member of a team focusing on algorithms and code in a defined product.
Within Scania you will be working cross functional with test organizations, HMI, Sales and Marketing and functional safety to mention a few.
In the group we work a lot with Matlab/Simulink, from where we generate production code and implementation in C/C++ on our different ECUs. Part of our working hours are spent in a test vehicle.
Your profile
We are looking for skilled engineers with work experience from safe embedded systems. Knowledge of distributed systems, control theory, vehicle dynamics and/or robotics are appreciated qualifications.
As a person you enjoy working in a team as well as by yourself. You are driven, pragmatic and solution oriented, take high interest in keeping good quality in your work whether it's a new implementation or continues improvement of existing systems and make sure to test your solutions. You have the ability to understand complex systems and also to communicate within the field of work in a clear and easy understandable way.
Working with colleagues both within Scania but also other part of the VW-group is something you look forward to.
You master English in both speech and writing and you have a passenger car driving license. Driving license for truck and/or bus is meritorious as well as previous experience working with autonomous vehicles.
Most important is your passion to contribute on the journey were we together develop energy effective and autonomous transport solutions.
