Powertrain Control Systems, a department within Powertrain Engineering, Volvo Group Trucks Technology is looking for a Development Engineer within the group Electrical Propulsion Control group.
We are looking for a person to work closely with the group Electrical Propulsion Control to develop control strategies for electrical propulsion and hybrid systems. You will be involved from early concept evaluation to late industrialization phases of projects.
You should be an engineer with at least 3 years of experience from control strategy and software development within electrical propulsion and hybrid area. Also a good understanding for the system breakdown is important.
Since you will be a communication cornerstone in the local and global Volvo community, they need to enjoy interacting with people of different nationality and organizational belonging.
If you want to be a successful candidate you must also realize the importance of customer, production, and quality requirements within product development.
Core Responsibilities:
This position will be within the Electrical Propulsion Control group within Control Systems Gothenburg
Specific responsibilities for the position:
Implementation of control strategies (SW development) from software requirements
Foster Control strategy competence within the software development team
Requirement analysis and balancing by joint reviews, simulations and/or selected tests
Calibration and verification tests
Breakdown and document high level requirements into control strategy requirements
Contribute to the development and execution of automated system tests
Contribute to system engineering efforts on the complete Powertrain for Electrical Propulsion System
Requirements:
Master of Science in Engineering or related field with a minimum of three years of experience within electrical/diesel engine applications
Other education level than Master of Science could be considered together with solid experience within the required area of expertise
