hela Sverige Scania is now undergoing a transformation from being a supplier of trucks, buses and engines to a supplier of complete and sustainable transport solutions.
One part of this is the Science Based Target and an ambitious goal to increase the share of fully electrified trucks and buses.
With electrified trucks new requirements has to be fulfilled to satisfy the customers expectations on driving comfort.
The team is responsible for development of cab body and cab suspension for our future electrified vehicles. We are also working to further improve the performance of the current cab program.
Your tasks
Your most important task will be to develop the new cab suspension for our future products in collaboration with other members in the team. A good understanding of the current product design and how it affects the driving comfort and driver safety is important for future development.
In early phases you will work with conceptual design work in Catia. You will also work in tight collaboration with component suppliers but also with detailed in-house design work.
As a competent cab suspension designer you will take part in product follow-up projects to further improve the cab suspension for the current program.
The development work requires good knowledge in mechanical engineering and strength analysis. You must also have good understanding of vehicle dynamics and NVH.
Tight collaboration within the design team as well as with crossfunctions from testing, purchasing and production is necessary to fulfill your tasks.
Your profile
We are looking for you who are deeply interested in vehicle design and mechanical engineering. You are a team player and reflect upon how you can contribute to exceptional team work. As a person you are curious and dare to try in order to learn.
• You are an experienced mechanical designer and have a master degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent.
• You have have a drivers licence for passenger car (and preferrably trucks)
• You master English and Swedish in speaking and writing.
