hela Sverige For the Bitumen Technology Department in Nynäshamn, Sweden, we are currently recruiting a development engineer.
As the position holder, you will be part of the hot mix and industrial application group within bitumen technology in Nynäshamn.
This position includes short term troubleshooting for our customers as well as longer term projects. You will be responsible in maintaining the high knowledge related to bitumen and paving and be a good communicator within the Nynas organization as well as to our customers. The position offers a mix of practical development related to real world challenges and investigations related to increasing the knowledge within the applied bitumen field.
The position is placed in Nynäshamn and may require some travelling.
This position is responsible for
• Participation in projects related to binder testing when it comes to:
• Short/Mid term development and optimization of products
• Bitumen business technical concerns
• Troubleshooting internally and externally
• Suggest investigation methods and propose working plans for projects and troubleshooting
• Maintain and develop knowledge in bitumen polymer modified bitumen evaluation and development
• Perform bitumen and asphalt analysis on request from internal and external customers.
• Support Research and HSE
The successful candidate:
• Holds a degree in chemical engineering or similar and has experience from practical laboratory work preferably regarding polymers and analysis.
• Has experience from chemical industry or from the paving industry.
• Has experience from project management and customer support
• Excellent skills in Swedish and English along with well-developed IT skills are required.
• Is self-reliant, flexible and have the ability to work independently as well as in teams.
• Has a strong interest in development work, a logical and analytical nature, and a structured way of working.
• Is results oriented and are able to set self-challenging goals with the end customer in focus.
