www.sonyericsson.com.We are looking for a mechanical engineer with great ideas and a passion for making the worlds most innovative mobile phones through realizing cutting edge mechanical design, to be part of a dynamic team which offers great opportunities and challenges, in a global environment. Who is passionate about success and responsive towards our customers.
You would be working in a stimulating environment with mechanical design and development of housing part in injection molded plastics, magnesium and sheet metal. As well as developing inner structure such as acoustics components, connectors, switches, speakers or vibrators. New and existing surface treatments and lacquering are also very important to us. To create these must have products, which will give the customer some kind of new experience or feel, we often search for, and investigate new exciting materials and decoration techniques. Close cooperation with designers, suppliers, and other internal disciplines is of course necessary. The work is managed in project form, mostly with short development cycles which periodically requires high speed and great efforts. Hard but very stimulating! To work together in a project group with a clear, well defined goal, to create world class phones, is very absorbing.
Background and skills:
B.Sc or M.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering
5-10 years of experience working with mechanical development.
We are working in an international company in an international environment and use English in our daily work.
You should be prepared to take on a big responsibility and to independently manage your part of the teamwork.
You should also interact with, and coordinate actions at our external suppliers and production units, where Chinese experience and language skills are a great plus.
