The task of Advanced Development Food Preservation is to globally support the Food Preservation product lines with new technology to be the market leader in environmentally sustainable and innovative products. We conduct, in clearly defined opportunity areas, activities ranging from monitoring front line technology development via generation of ideas to the creation of innovative features and products. We are located at the Electrolux head office in Stockholm. Aiming at the leadership position in our industry, reduction of our products? energy consumption is one of our key objectives. We are, therefore, increasing our resources in the area of applied thermodynamic and refrigeration technology.
In our work we are in contact with different functions such as product development, purchasing, intellectual property, quality, product business, and marketing. The ability to achieve results in our challanging activities will be a valuable asset, which will give you a good opportunity to progress within the company.
Key operational responsibilities:
You will apply your competence in thermodynamic and mechanics in the first place to improve and optimize our current refrigeration systems and to explore new technologies like e.g. magneto-caloric cooling together with our colleagues in the air care product line. In addition you will be involved in other areas like beverage, water and ice preparation and dispensing and optimised food preservation. You will be covering diverse activities from theoretical to experimental analysis, prototype creation in our workshop, performance testing in our laboratory and concept verification at the consumer level. You will work in an international environment and interact daily with other experts in applied thermodynamics, beverage engineering and food science.

Competencies needed:
You have a university degree in engineering with major in applied thermodynamics/ refrigeration systems and preferably some years of hands-on experience from R&D of refrigeration systems. You have basic knowledge of CAD programs like CATIA and familiarity with data collecting systems like Labview. In addition you are a team player with good communication skills; you enjoy working in a multi-cultural, international environment and have the desire and the ability to apply your expertise to create innovative solutions.
