Development Engineer - Modifications & Upgrades to join us at Siemens Industrial Turbomachinery AB, in Finspång
With an ever-growing market and increasing competition, we constantly need to develop modifications and upgrades to our existing Gas turbine fleet around the world, already in operation. Therefore, we now search for a Development Engineer for the Mods&Ups R&D group that today consists of 7 engineers. Our main focus is to develop products for the service market including areas of Mechanical modifications and upgrades for Gas Turbines such as decreased emissions, increased power and efficiency or to make the operation of the machines more reliable.
Your tasks?
• You will take part in development projects and run pre-studies.
• You will verify and evaluate the technical and practical possibilities of upgrade product ideas from strategic department.
• To develop upgrade products for the service market based on pre-studies or improvements on new turbines and prepare a technical scope, in collaborate with other departments.
• To ensure that all technical areas are in line with the scope of supply (Gas turbine, auxiliaries, control system, performance etc.).
• To develop modification products based on improvements by compiling existing data and present it in a sellable package.
• You will follow up and evaluate first delivery (validation phase).
• You will support Application Engineers with technical clarifications during delivery projects.
What is required of me?
• A Bachelor or Master Degree in related engineering area, or equivalent experience.
• You have a big interest in technology and you strive to learn more.
• It is beneficial if you have knowledge of Gas turbines and auxiliaries.
• You are a good communicator and you are comfortable using English, the role requires that you have good skills in both verbally and in writing.
• You are a problem solver and you take charge of difficult situations.
• You can without problem manage and structure your work and you have good planning skills.
• To work proactive and without fear to face challenges in new projects.
• As a person you are flexible and you have a high level of integrity.
