Development Engineer, Heat exchangers
We are currently reinforcing our Development team and we are now looking for a Mechanical Design engineer with a great interest in the field of Energy recovery and Cooling, and possibly also experience in the same.
The Heatex Development team is international, with resources in several countries. The department responsibility covers development of New and Existing products as well as development of our Calculation and Selection tools.
Role description
As a development engineer in Heatex you will have a broad range of working tasks. The main tasks will be to run and participate in development projects of both new and existing products and give the organization technical support. Product design, 3D-CAD, project management and communication with the rest of the organization will be part of your every day activities. Mechanical calculations and FE-analysis are also needed from time to time.
An important corner stone in our future development is our brand new test lab. One of your tasks will be to specify, run tests and further increase the test rig capability.
There will also be direct customer contact in large projects and more complicated technical matters.
Since our products are Plate and Rotary Heat Exchangers, you will also develop an understanding for heat transfer and fluid mechanics.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor or a Master degree in Mechanical engineering, preferably
also with courses in the field of Energy
• A few years of working experience within Product development
• 3D-CAD competence (SolidWorks or similar)
• FE-analysis experience is an advantage, but not a requirement
• Heat transfer and Fluid mechanics experience is an advantage but
not a requirement
• Creative with analytical skills and a great interest in Technology
• When working with our test rig, some practical skills will be needed
• Good communication skills and social competence
• Experience with the HVAC industry is a plus
You will need to do a couple of trips per year to our factories in Czech rep. USA or China, suppliers, customers, etc.
Your skills in written and spoken English should be good.
