Scania is now undergoing a transformation from being a supplier of trucks, buses and engines to a supplier of complete and sustainable transport solutions.About us

We are responsible for the development of the electrical components of the thermal management system for our cutting-edge electrified vehicles. To keep up with the current and upcoming projects, we are growing our team and we are looking for a new Development Engineer to become part of our journey.

Do you want to be a part of this journey and join our diverse team?

We are a truly diverse and international team with a lot of experience, including different skills and backgrounds. We enjoy working closely together in a friendly and inclusive environment, where we openly share knowledge and experiences.

We work in an international environment and collaborate with our colleagues in the TRATON Group.

Our work is organized in an agile way based on SAFe, ensuring that both you as well as the team have a substantial impact on the product by continuous deliverables in every increment.

In our team we grow, have fun and deliver in a fast-paced environment and energetic setting!

Your Tasks

In the role of Development Engineer, you will be responsible for the development of new and improvement of existing electrical components. The journey begins by setting and providing our requirements to the suppliers, which are responsible for the design of the component, and actively co-develop the component. You'll actively collaborate in the co-development process, coordinate rigorous testing (for example functional, environmental, electrical and life length tests) and drive the continuous product adjustments/problem-solving. Your goal will be to successfully implement your component in our serial production and continuous improvements under the cyclic lifecycle of the component.

Throughout this exciting journey, you will work and collaborate closely with our suppliers. You will have cross-functional communication and collaboration with colleagues from installation groups, testing, production, purchasing and other areas and brands within the TRATON Group. You will also be responsible for presenting and communicate your findings in various stakeholders.

Your profile

To be successful in this role we believe that you have:

• University degree within electrical engineering or similar
• Work experience within electrical engineering/electronics or similar
• Work experience from product development (involvement in industrialization of new products) and communication with external stakeholders is a plus
• Passion about new technologies and problem-solving, while being methodical and working towards our targets.
• Ability to work independently and take responsibility for your own tasks while being a team player who likes to create a positive team spirit, spread the energy and share ideas with your colleagues.
• Very good communication skills and enjoy working in a diverse and multicultural environment.
• Fluency in English, as we work and collaborate daily in an international environment.
