The Digital Machining department at Seco Tools in Fagersta is responsible for our Test and Modeling Application (TMA) platform - standardizing our machining test data documentation and creating value in terms of models and analytic functionalities. We're now looking for an experienced engineer to join our team and work with engaged and proficient colleagues in a diverse setting where collaboration and flexibility really matters. Your mission
Your main responsibility is to maintain and develop our TMA templates for machining tests and cutting data models. You listen to our users and contribute with your expertise in the development of new functions based on the feedback, as well as coordinating the templates with the bug fix system. Working cross-functionally together with many different areas in our organization - including IT, engineering, R&D and machine operators - you initiate and drive the development of our test methodology.
In addition, you continually develop your own knowledge, as you capture and develop new ideas and apply them in a way that adds value. Sharing skills and best practices and, supporting colleagues in professional growth while taking responsibility for our abilities to deliver is also important parts of your mission.
While the location for this position is flexible within Sweden, presence in Fagersta is required on a weekly basis. Some planned travel is part of the job.
Your profile
We're looking for someone with a master's degree in Engineering or similar and solid work experience, at least five years, within the manufacturing industry. You have a background in mathematical modeling and mathematics, combined with an understanding of machining and tooling applications. It's beneficial if you also have experience of working with data and programming. As we're a global business, we expect you to be fluent in written and verbal English, while knowledge of Swedish is beneficial.
