In Development &Technology (D&T), Equipment Engineering, we are looking for a Development Engineer specializing in Virtual Modelling.
In this role you will be part of the Simulation, Modelling and Measurement Team in Preparation & Forming Solutions department. The team supports development projects and technical know-how activities by developing mathematical models and running simulations to enable informed decision-making. We provide advanced simulations and measurements to co-develop (support, drive, validate, and confirm) the designs for the sub-systems within Preparation & Forming Solutions, working in a fully integrated way with stakeholders across different projects and competence areas.
This is a permanent position based in Lund, Sweden.
What you will do
Work in project teams to develop simulation models and perform technical calculations using commercial finite element tools, providing insights and relevant information to enable technical decision-making.
Maintain and develop knowledge in computational mechanics, finite element methods, and material calibration, with a special focus on modelling packaging materials, forming processes, and machine-material interaction.
Define test specifications, collect data, and analyze results from experimental activities to validate virtual simulations.

We believe you have
A Master's degree in engineering
At least 1-2 years of working experience in similar position
Expertise in solid mechanics and finite element methods at a student level
Previous experience in finite element modelling and simulation of mechanical systems using commercial software tools (e.g., Dassault Systèmes Abaqus) is preferred
Fluency in English, both written and spoken

As a person you have a strong personal drive and structured approach when required to drive activities autonomously, including a very high interest in technical solutions and innovation. You have a flexible, driven, proactive personality with high ability to collaborate and communicate working in groups.
Furthermore, you have good communication and presentation skills and you are structured and have an analytical way of thinking.
We Offer You
A variety of exciting challenges with ample opportunities for development and training in a truly global landscape
A culture that pioneers a spirit of innovation where our industry experts drive visible results
