The department Powertrain installation (PWTRi) is placed under Product Platform Wheel Loader (WL) Engineering. The department is new and this gives a unique opportunity within VCE to be part of starting up a new organization where you will take part in defining work and responsibilities in the team to meet the department targets.
The responsibilities of PWTRi is design, calculation and handle packaging of the powertrain and auxiliary system which consist installation of, for example, cooling system, engine and electrical motor system, tanks, brakes, transmission, axle placement etc.
The responsibility is in all phases of the product life cycle to ensure the right QDCF for the technical solutions provided in WL's, both conventional and future technologies and products.
Position Description
We are now looking for a designer to form complete department.
• Our new Development Engineer:?Initiate, design, develop and calculate design concepts to meet cost objectives, time frame, machine parameters and criteria by use of layouts and installation models
• Do quality improvements and cost reductions
• Recommend and develop requirement specifications when appropriate to help improve confidence in design solutions, assist in failed component analysis and recommendation of solution
• Demonstrate technical and written skills via generating and filing reports of design analysis
• Deliver QDCF balanced solutions technical solutions that meet the product requirements within a given time frame
• Has a risk reduction mid-set
• Will work in a stimulating environment, managing technical and operational challenges in the Wheel Loaders organization
The work typically involve some travelling, the frequency is dependent on type of work.

Required Competencies
• CAD competence, preferably CATIA
• Team player
• Eager to learn
• Interested in technical solutions
• Understanding the value of all team members
• Enjoy working with real deliveries that result in more satisfied end customers
• Understand Swedish language (or able to learn within 6 months)
• Fluent in English (spoken & written)
Beneficial competencies
• Experience in PDM system
• Able to define interfaces and areas of responsibility
• Wheel loader, engine, transmission, axles or hybrid systems knowledge
• Able to organize & prioritize tasks to meet project plan
Minimum Years of Experience Required
• Preferable some years R&D experience in industrial companies
Minimum Education Required
• B.Sc. in Engineering or equal in combination with relevant working experience
