We have responsibility for the development of bearing packaging and preservation. The position holder will develop and maintain the bearing packaging specifications including the corrosion protection necessary. The job includes independent work but also contact with various stakeholders on a global level.

The job requires approx. 20-30 days of travel per year.

Job responsibilities

• Own, develop and maintain packaging specifications
• Own, develop and maintain packaging design rules and S&P S9
• Definition of the packaging processes
• Align packaging and preservation specifications, based on requirements
• Drive development of packaging and preservation
• Drive audits of the packaging and the packaging process

Job requirements

• Master degree or PhD in engineering or chemistry
• A broad technical understanding and interest
• Experience from bearing packaging
• Experience from bearing preservation
• Experience of project management in a global environment
• Experience from working with customer relations is an advantage
• Being fluent in English is a prerequisite

Personal profile

• Self-motivated with a high level of own drive and commitment
• A good team player with ability to collaborate in a global environment
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Broad network and ability to influence and lead others
• Ability and will to take action

SKF Product Development & Product Engineering, Technology & Specifications has expertise within several areas, e.g. bearing materials, lubrication, and packaging. We are currently a team of 25 people being based in Germany, Austria & Sweden working in an international environment.
