Job Summary
We are now looking for a Development Engineer to join the Lamination & Web Handling team with a focus on Extrusion Coating.
This role will belong to D&T IBE (Development & Technology Industrial Base Engineering) which is responsible for developing, maintaining and implementing world class packaging material and converting solutions, enabling Tetra Pak to deliver competitive packaging solutions with a clear environmental focus.
The position is based in Lund, Sweden and requires approximately 10% of travelling.
What you will do
In this role, the main responsibilities will be to develop and maintain innovative solutions related to the extrusion coating equipment and process. You will be involved in development projects, problem solving activities as well as supporting our converting factories taking a central ownership of extrusion equipment. The job is done in an agile team where you give and get support to/from your peers.
You will focus on
As our new colleague, you will be responsible for:
Technical ownership of extrusion equipment
Support to installation projects for new equipment in our factories.
Participation in and drive of internal projects and improvement activities.
Support to internal and external stakeholders in obsolescence management.
Securing that Tetra Pak Corporate Standards, Guidelines, and processes are followed.
Together with supplier management, drive an agenda with our suppliers to secure quality and to improve technical performance.
Participation in and drive of internal and external competence- and stakeholder networks.
Development and continuous improvement of processes, procedures, standards, and tools within area of responsibility.

Furthermore, you can adjust to the situation and comfortably handle risk and uncertainty.
We think you have an engineering degree and some years of work experience in a related field showing evidence on technical ownership, system function and robustness in production environment. Evidently extrusion coating experience of polyolefins is valued. Good understanding of mechanical components is a must and experience of electrical and automation design is a bonus. As you will work in an international environment, it is important that you have a good command of English, both written and oral.
