This is us, your new colleagues:The Exhaust aftertreatment system (EATS) department is responsible for the global platform development of exhaust aftertreatment systems for Volvo Group's different product around the world.We develop hardware as well as the features and functionalities. We are accountable for the lifecycle management of our products, from advanced engineering, through product development into the maintenance phase. Our group, EATS calibration (Exhaust Aftertreatment System) is responsible for calibration and verification of different Exhaust Aftertreatment System functionalities, such as emission control, on EuroVI heavy duty engines. This is done in a simulation framework as well as in engine test cell and in vehicles. Follow-up of functional performance in the end product through telematics is an increasingly important part in the team's validation work. Work description:As a calibration engineer you will be part of many aspects of development and implementation of EATS calibration. You and the team will understand the legal and customer requirements, and will design robust calibration. A working day can be both datacollection from engine and vehicle tests, build models for and perform virtual testing/optimization/calibration and verify the result in vehicle or test cell. Part of the work also includes method development tasks towards continouse improvements. We trust the individual and act as a team, we always have the customer in focus and we want to deliver high quality products. In this role, you will have a big network of people working at different departments and Volvo companies in Sweden and globally. You will rapidly build up knowledge of a big area of engine features.
