The department Customized Truck Development is responsible for customer- and market adaptation of trucks and complete vehicles with bodywork. It is an expansive area where Scania invests in order to get in to new markets and segments.

We are now looking for a development engineer who wants to meet the challenge of the future within the defence area together with us.

Your new job

You will work with both new development and maintenance of existing basic military equipment , extended- and customer specific military equipment. Working tasks included are creating circuit diagrams and drawings for cable harness (2D/3D), analysing and answering customer related requests and requirements, writing demand specifications and do functional descriptions for systems. You will work actively in the projects, from pre-study to serial production and are responsible for planning, design, quality assurance and deviation handling.

Together with the colleagues in the team You are also responsible for continuously improving and challenge the group working methods and processes

Scania R&D is transforming towards a team-based, value-flow way of working. You will participate actively in planning and daily work, striving for shortening lead times with quality and quantity kept at a high level.

Your profile

We believe you have:

• a university degree in electrical engineering, product development, or similar
• experience or knowledge about electrical design, electrical schedule, or electrical components
• experience in cable harness or mechanical design.
• knowledge in CAD
• interest in product development

It is a plus if you previously have worked in automotive, or with the systems Saber or Catia.
