An electrified powertrain is a key element within development of technology for more sustainable transport solutions, but the technological shift from combustion engines also involves huge challenges, such as finding new ways of working and cooperating, both within Scania and with external parties. Would you like to be part of that?
The Electric and Hybrid Technology section within the Powertrain Control Systems Development department is responsible for components, functions, properties and testing within the area of electrified powertrains for trucks and buses.
We are currently looking for an engineer for the development of the next generation of electric machines.
Your duties
You will advance the development of electric machines at Scania with commitment. You will be responsible for setting the requirements for electric machines for electrified vehicles for suppliers based on functional and environmental requirements. You will coordinate testing, work with supplier contacts and have overall responsibility for the functionality of components in vehicles.
Keeping up to date with developments in the field within the rest of the group and the world at large will be a natural part of your work.
Your profile
You will be a graduate engineer in electrical engineering with an interest in electrified vehicles. Previous experience of developing electric machines would be an advantage.
You will be fluent in both written and spoken Swedish and English.
You are down-to-earth and have a positive attitude to your surroundings, and when the usual approaches to work fail, you can find new ones in order to proceed. The ability to develop and maintain a broad network of contacts would be a valuable advantage.
We offer
In addition to career and development opportunities, we can also offer Scania employees other benefits, such as an employee car, performance bonuses, a pension, flexible working hours, lunch at reduced prices and much more. If you live in Stockholm, we offer a direct bus service between Stockholm and Södertälje, the Scania Jobexpress.
