In this position, you will have the opportunity to work with technical challenges in a creative work environment to develop and maintain Tetra Pak's future Packaging Systems.
You will belong to the Carton Bottle & Gable Top and Tetra Recart organisation. We are responsible for the development of Tetra Pak's product portfolio targeting competitive alternatives for customers requesting additional functionality compared to traditional packages. As a Development Engineer Polymers, you will have multiple stakeholder contacts with other Tetra Pak organisations representing the Carton Bottle & Gable Top and Tetra Recart in polymer related matters. You will be responsible for the development and maintenance of polymer materials and blends used in our opening applications. Your role will be both to act as source of theoretical knowledge but also being part of practical evaluation and verification of equipment and package performance.
Main responsibilities
• Develop and drive issue resolutions regarding polymer specifications in product and technology development projects and sustaining engineering activities.
• Exploring new boundaries in plastic material for our injected moulded closure solutions.
• Create and maintain the polymer customer specifications, including consumer and/or customer issues and claims.
• Perform analytical studies and investigations of polymer distribution and behaviour during injection moulding by using Moldflow software
Qualifications
To be successful in this position we believe that you have a Bachelor of Science or higher in Polymer materials preferably within the area of injection moulding. You have 5 - 6 years' work experience including experience from working with product development. Previous experience in MoldFlow, or similar software, will be considered as an advantage. You are fluent in English, both spoken and written.
You are an analytical person with a strong personal drive for results and for problem solving. Further you have the ability to build network and relationships with other people. You have a solid technical understanding combined with a strong business acumen. If you also have an interest in working with continuous improvements, quality, technical challenges and innovative solutions this is the job for you. You are a team player and enjoy sharing your knowledge with others.
