We are working with Fondo to find App Engineers, Web Engineers, Platform Engineers and Backend Engineers to join their team.
Fondo is a startup within the savings industry. Their app allows anyone old enough to open an investment account to invest in mutual funds at the lowest fees available in Sweden. They are on a mission to make investments available for all people. As such, they are believers in good design, simplicity and technology that allow them to create the most valuable and user-friendly savings platform out there.
Live and work where it suits you! Fondo started in a time when remote work was standard so they are down for any setup that suits you. They do of course love it if you want to hang with them in the office located in the heart of Stockholm.
This recruitment process is handled by Wrknest but you will be employed by Fondo.
About the roles
• As a Web Engineer
you will work with a modern stack and towards their internal APIs. This position means close interaction with product and design to create impactful features for their users, growth initiatives, as well as internal tools.
They use bare React and Next.js for their web but are always on the lookout where things are going in terms of solutions and frameworks so they appreciate you being a curious person.
• As a Platform Engineer
you will be responsible for maintaining and taking their technical platform to the next level. You will manage the Cloud setup and tools used. With a high focus on DevOps and CI you will be creating tools to make the flow even better.
Fondos stack is based on micro service APIs running in Kubernetes (Anthos mesh). It's a hybrid architecture where services are both REST and event driven with the help of PubSub. They use Terraform to setup and maintain their environments. All config as code in source repositories.
• As a Backend Engineer
you will be implementing new functionality, architecting their system, squashing bugs, and maintaining the health of their code. You are expected to participate in shaping the technical architecture and deliver highly available, secure, scalable services in a production environment. Working alongside other teams at Fondo, you will help to translate user stories into technical solutions and come up with ideas for new initiatives and technologies.
Their stack is based on micro service APIs in Kubernetes. It's a hybrid architecture both REST and event driven. They primarily use Postgres for storage and leverage cloud services like Google BigQuery and Google PubSub.
About you
The ideal candidate has a true passion for tech. You need to have a couple of years of experience as a developer and be comfortable in your tasks. You are curious, proactive and a problem solver.

Form of employment: Full-time 40h/week
