The amount of video created every day put a heavy demand on the underlying platforms, while the need to quickly turn your raw content into compelling stories is greater than ever.
THE POSITION
As a full-stack developer, you will be part of a team that develops cloud services for all our customers. These services are both developed in-house, or they can be third-party services. The VidiNet platform combines all of these services into an easy to use marketplace and scheduling platform. Reliability is a must, so developing robust code and test cases are natural ingredients.
Your tasks include:
• Building reusable code for future use.
• Building tests: unit, integration, performance, smoke, all kinds of tests.
• Developing deployment code for our services
• Working together with Operations and Professional Services for best practices around infrastructure for VidiNet and other services
• Assist with customer support
Technologies used, and to which you should have knowledge in:
• Java
• Docker
• Kubernetes
• Terraform
• Cloud services
WHO YOU ARE:
You have a degree in Computer Science, or you just love everything about IT and are self-taught. You have a great interest in technical development and problem-solving. It is of merit if you have previous experience in front-end development, development within cloud systems, or handling of video and image formats.
Like you, Vidispine strive for building elegant solutions. Solutions that fit their customers. Since customers come in many shapes, we provide our software both as traditional software packages and as a service (SaaS). Vidispine are calling our SaaS platform VidiNet, and on VidiNet they have both their own software and third-party software. Running a SaaS platform requires knowledge of everything from network and infrastructure to billing and the provided software itself. But that is why it is so fun!
As a person, you are service-minded and love to drill down into technical matters in order to solve customer problems. Being a team player, you will be an important part of the VidiNet team at Vidispine. Furthermore, you thrive in a role where you are expected to pick up new technology quickly, which is also something that attracts you. You are fluent in English, both written and verbal communication.
