Board Power Design at Lindholmen is responsible for research, development and maintenance of Board Power solutions to the majority of the Ericsson Product Portfolio. We are a part of the Ericsson's global design organization and engaged in developing products for the present and future mobile networks. At our site we are five sections forming a competence center with responsibility to provide power solutions to the Ericsson organization.

The job is in the area of product development and includes:

Board power design (DC/DC converters, power architectures, POL converters, EMI filters)
Design and evaluation of components, protection circuitry, supervision and control functions
Schematic design and support of board layout
Power design verification
Contribute to the strategic analysis of future design trends
Act as mentor within the technical area
Application of simulation models and power budgets
Production support

We use the latest design and simulation tools in order to develop our world class products. We keep track of new technology, methodology and design techniques, ensuring that our design activities are kept at a world class level.

Our competence center is based on team work with experienced and dedicated individuals. We believe that our employees are the key to our success. Board Power Microwave is now looking for an experienced power HW designer with a deep interest in power solutions and analogue design. You will work in close cooperation with other power design teams, other HW design teams and develop world class power solutions. You will interact with design disciplines across Ericsson, such as digital/radio design, system design and production sites.

Qualifications

You take initiative and are willing to adopt new methods and techniques. You work well independently, but you are also a team player with good communication skills. You have worked some years within the field and have:

BSc or MSc degree in electrical engineering or equal
Three years of experience from power hardware design or equal
Skills in schematic drawing and experience from a laboratory environment (instruments, measurements etc.)
Understanding of firmware and software design e.g. C, Labview and HPVEE
Fluent in English.

You have an analytical approach, a strong drive for results and customer focus. You have good communication and co-operation skills and the ability to take the initiative and adapt to new methods and techniques. Most of all you have an inquisitive mind, and a thirst for knowledge.
