hela Sverige As a PA designer, your tasks will be in the area of research and development of Power Amplifiers for Radio Units in our networks. The job will include requirement analysis, feasibility study, circuit design, prototype implementation in PCB, chip-wire or monolithic processes, radio system integration, laboratory verification, as well as documentation.
Responsibilities and tasks:
The responsibilities and tasks will include below, but not be limited to below items:
Specification and link-budget analysis
Evaluation, characterization, and modelling of RF power transistors and circuits solutions
Electrical, electromagnetic, and thermomechanical simulations
Schematic and layout design
Prototype PCB, chip-wire or monolithic fabrication and assembly
Laboratory verification
Production support
The work is done according to our processes and documentation is an essential part along with collaboration with other designers.
Our unit, Power Amplifier Design, is responsible for R&D regarding RF and microwave Power Amplifiers (PA). We are designing PA units for wireless communication infrastructures of today as well as for the future. Most of our work is done in research or product-development projects. We are working close together with other areas like systemization, algorithm development, transmitter design, test development and production. We also collaborate with RF device engineers and external semiconductor suppliers.
We are continuously developing our world-leading expertise and we are using the best and most modern laboratory instruments. We are now searching for you as to become our next talent, as a PA designer.
You, as the successful candidate:
• Are curious about learning and constantly developing, and are not afraid of communicating your creative ideas.
• You have a positive attitude and are willing to collaborate and have great team working skills.
• You are organized and make sure to always keep a high quality in your work. Fluent in English, speaking and writing is a must.
It is an advantage if you have experience/competence within the below areas:
• Proficiency in microwave PA design
• Proficiency in microwave measurement, calibration, de-embedding, and load-pull
• Experience in power transistor characterization and modelling is regarded as a merit
• Experience in PA linearization is regarded as a merit
• Proficiency in circuit and EM simulation in ADS or AWR
• Experience in HFSS is regarded as a merit
• Knowledge of wireless communication systems and radio architectures
Education:
MSc/PhD in Electronics, Physics or equivalent
