Volvo's Audio Systems team are responsible for the handsfree system, AVAS system and complete audio system in the car and are part of the department In Car Digital. In Car Digital delivers the complete infotainment system to our customers. We continuously strive to exceed our customers expectations and will now strengthen our team to meet the future requirements in the next generation of cars from Volvo.
What you'll do
For this developer position, we are looking for a person with main skills within the area of electronic HW design. In this role, you will work in an internal agile team but also alongside our suppliers to create a HW platform for our current as well as our upcoming systems.
As a developer with focus on hardware design:
* You perform quality-assuring activities (FMEA & HW design reviews) in order to secure robust HW design.
* You define requirements for packaging of all system components to a team of CAD engineers.
* You evaluate HW solutions according to best practice.
* You develop and plan the need for HW related analysis and verification.
* You manage the team's hardware deliveries according to Volvo Cars release process.
Do you fit the profile?
You have the desire and ambition to work within the Audio development area. As a person, you are self-motivated to deliver on time, on target and with quality. You have very good communication skills and are a team player. Flexibility and a growth mindset is important qualities to possess.
* University degree in electrical engineering or equivalent
* 1-3 years' experience from automotive industry
* Minimum 5 years of experience from electronic HW design.
* Fluent in English, both verbally and written
* Driver's license (B)
* Experience of requirements management
* Knowledge of Agile ways of working is meritorious

Location for this position is onsite in Gothenburg, Sweden from where we expect you are able to work with adequate working permits. Working proficiency in the English language, speech and writing, is a requirement. Combined with the same skills in the Swedish language is considered a merit.
