What's in it for you?
ARTital (Interior Trim, Accessories and Lighting) is the ART within R&D focused on delivering world-class interior trim for our future cars. We are responsible for all phases of the development, i.e. annual work, advanced engineering, concept development, industrialization, current model quality and cost reduction. We work to a large extent in a cross-functional product development process together with Procurement, Design, Manufacturing, Product Planning, Attributes and of course the other development units within R&D. We are now looking to strengthen one of our agile teams with experienced Developer/Design Engineers for Hard Trim.
As Developer/Group Design Leader you will be reporting directly to the Product Owner, Scrum Master and the Team Manager. In this role you will be given the possibility to improve and deepen your technical knowledge of the system area and the chance to build new network within our company.

What you'll do
In this role as Developer/Group Design Leader) you will be the project leader for pillars, sill mouldings and rear trunk trim panels in all project phases. You are responsible for Technology, Time, Cost and Quality. Your responsibility is to lead the cross functional team with Engineering, Procurement, Manufacturing, Supplier Quality Management and Suppliers towards a common goal. Based on the Volvo Cars Leadership model, you will be able to develop and lead a highly motivated team to deliver on objectives as well as influence strategic issues cross functionally.

Your main responsibilities will be:
* Member of a cross functional team in engineering projects and ensure delivery with regards to time, technology, quality and cost requirements
* Together with the team, develop technical solutions and documentation that describe the systems and components (or review solutions developed by supplier.
* Ensure commonality between projects
* Work in close cooperation with the suppliers
* Ensure that a correct part structure is created and that the technical documentation is reviewed and released
* Create primary and secondary document needed for the task.
* Tolerance setting of the parts
* Initiate and assure that corrective actions are carried out when deviations occurs

* Together with the responsible design engineers, set up, manage and follow up the component development time plans
* Ordering of test objects, soft tools and bought assignments
* The work will require close contact with other areas within R&D and our suppliers
Communicate the status and forecast for the project to Product Owner and Scrum Master

Do you fit the profile?
We are looking for you who has a technical education, preferably a B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering or similar. You also have about 5 years' experience from product development. You are uent in English, both written and spoken. You have very good knowledge and experience in project leading such as create and follow time plans. Last but not least, a good communication and negotiation skill is needed to succeed in this position.
On a personal level, you are flexible, energetic, customer-oriented individual who has a strong team delivery orientation. You have strong communication and collaboration skills and you have a proven ability of building long term relationships with colleagues. You are self-starter who is highly motivated to take up challenging tasks. You have holistic approach and ability to prioritize your tasks.
